THE image of Scott Brown lying stricken on the Cantilever Park turf was a haunting one for anyone associated with Warrington Town.
As their Northern Premier League clash with Buxton on October 27 approached half time, an innocuous-looking challenge led to the on-loan Harrogate Town midfielder suffering a broken leg in two places.
The match was abandoned and the 35-year-old remained on the pitch - covered in coats for warmth while teammates and coaches attempted to keep his spirits up - for nearly two hours until paramedics arrived.
Now, though, Brown has hit a major milestone in his recovery after starting running again.
