A THIEF who stole more than £100 of contraceptives from a shop in the town centre has been fined.

Daniel Vrajitoru took the goods worth a total of £102 from a store in the Cockhedge Centre during an incident in July 2019.

The 29-year-old was also caught carrying a loose razor blade when he was detained and searched.

He admitted theft and possession of a bladed article in a public place at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 17.

Romanian national Vrajitoru, of Skelmersdale, was fined £666 and told to pay court costs of £85 plus a £67 victim surcharge.
