Episode 11 of an amazing new series featuring a Warrington family's previously unpublished cine film footage of Wire matches and special moments in the 1960s and 1970s

THIS is the oldest Warrington Wolves match to be published from the Waller family cine film collection.

Highlight of the clip from The Wire's 16-10 loss at home to Halifax on September 18, 1965, is the skilful evasion work of stand-off Willie Aspinall in the first half.

Parry Gordon can be seen at distance scoring the team's second try on a day soured by hooker Joe Price being sent off on his debut in the first period.

Players to feature in the footage include right winger Jeff Bootle (2), his centre Joe Pickavance (3), back-rower Charlie Winslade (11) and prop Fred Hill (10).

Look out for the players being seen much clearer as they walk off at the interval to see how many you can identify.
