A DRUG dealer has been jailed after being stopped by police close to his Padgate home.
Thomas Shingler was stopped while driving a Ford Fiesta on Clarence Street – the same road on which he lives – by officers on June 4 last year.
Following a drugs test, the 30-year-old was found to have proportions of cocaine in his blood.
Also present in his blood was delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and benzoylecgonine, which are found in cannabis and cocaine respectively.
A quantity of drugs were discovered by police and he was charged with possession of the class A drug cocaine and possession of the class B drug ketamine with intent to supply.
Shingler was also charged with three counts of drug driving, one of driving while disqualified and one of driving without insurance.
He appeared before Liverpool Crown Court last week to learn his fate, where he was subsequently jailed for 27 months by judge Rachel Smith.
Shingler was also disqualified from driving for three years.
