A PUB has installed temporary barriers on site following a recent visit from travellers.
Around half a dozen caravans moved on to the car park of the Waterside Pub in Centre Park on Friday morning.
This was after setting up an encampment outside of the Warrington Guardian’s offices.
Vehicles gained access to the site on Thursday morning by driving over bushes.
To prevent a repeat occurrence, The Waterside has now arranged concrete barriers and a metal gate around the perimeter of its car park.
It is believed that the travellers had previously established a camp at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury before being moved on.
The past week has also seen encampments at Morrisons in Stockton Heath and the Athelis gym at Gemini, while a second camp was also reported outside another office on Centre Park.
Travellers have been seen throughout the month of February around the Birchwood Park and Silver Lane areas.
