THE driver of a van parked up next to fly-tipped waste in Winwick is set to appear in court.
Officers from Cheshire Police’s rural crime team spotted the vehicle beside a pile of rubbish on Highfield Lane.
They searched the van and spoke to the occupants regarding the fly-tipping, but no evidence could be found linking them to it.
However, officers discovered that the driver of the van had no valid insurance or licence to drive it.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At around 11.30am on Friday, February 19, officers spotted an occupied white Ford Transit van near to a pile of rubbish on waste ground in the Highfield Lane area of Winwick.
