TRAVELLERS have set up an encampment in a supermarket car park.
Several caravans moved onto land next to the Morrisons store on Wilderspool Causeway, near to the car wash, over the weekend.
Warrington Borough Council says it is liaising with the landowner in order to ‘offer help and advice’.
A spokesman said: “As this is private land, representatives from the Cheshire and Warrington traveller team will be making contact with the landowner to offer help and advice.”
Meanwhile, a camp was reported at Rutherford House in Birchwood for the second time in a matter of weeks over the weekend.
Encampments have also been established at the Noggin pub and Kelvin Close in Risley recently.
