WARRINGTON Wolves have revealed a special tribute to the people who helped the club survive the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s warm-up shirt – to be worn by the first-team squad ahead of matches this year – is adorned with the names of 'Legacy Members' who kindly donated the balance of their 2020 membership back to the club.

The vast majority of members chose this option when asked after the season resumed without crowds being able to attend due to Covid restrictions while players, coaches, staff and directors also took pay cuts.

“The shirt shows our gratitude to the 5,000 members, players, coaches, staff and directors by acknowledging their magnificent gestures and sacrifices to support the Club during the COVID-19 pandemic,” The Wire have said.

Adult shirts in sizes from small through to 5XL cost £38 while children’s sizes cost £35, with the shirts available to pre-order now from the club’s website.

The club have said they cannot guarantee all names will appear on children’s sizes due to the fabric and print area available.

Pre-orders take five weeks to produce, so the first ones ordered will be despatched from March 22. The club shop’s click and collect service is unavailable at this time due to Covid restrictions.
