A THIEF who stole lead from the roof of a nursery has been ordered to pay compensation.
Wesley Burton took more than £1,000 of flashing from Sandy Lane Nursery and Forest School in Orford in March last year, only days after the first coronavirus lockdown began.
The 36-year-old, of Cleveland Road in Orford, admitted theft at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 6.
He was handed a community order including a five-month curfew from 8pm to 8am and was ordered to pay compensation of £512, £300 in court costs and a £90 victim surcharge.
