A WOMAN who was caught carrying a knife in the street in the early hours has been spared prison.
Charlotte Tatlock was found in possession of the large kitchen knife with a 15-inch blade on Greenwood Crescent in Orford.
Officers had attended the scene after concerned residents called the police at around 5.30am Saturday, on December 12.
The 27-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested following a search of the area.
She admitted possession of a bladed article in a public place and was handed a four-month imprisonment suspended for two years at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 30.
Tatlock was also given a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to 35 days and told to pay a victim surcharge of £128 plus £85 in court costs.
Magistrates ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the seized weapon.
