A FURTHER two patients have sadly died in the past 24 hours at Warrington Hospital after contracting coronavirus.
This brings the Covid-19 death toll for Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to 258.
As of today, Tuesday, the hospital is caring for 148 patients that have tested positive for the virus, of which 14 are in intensive care.
Patient numbers remain steady compared with yesterday, which saw 149 patients being cared for, with 13 in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

Since the start of the pandemic, the trust has tested 41,067 people for Covid-19, with 2,879 samples producing a positive result.
A total of 860 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovering from the virus.
