STAFF at a hospital in Stretton have been raising vital funds for a range of Cheshire charities by completing random acts of kindness.
Those working at Spire Cheshire Hospital have fundraised £445 for Cheshire Community Foundation’s campaign to support local charities impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Selfless acts from employees included sending postcards with kind messages to colleagues and purchasing gifts with inspirational quotes to cheer up friends and loved ones.
All funds raised went to the betterment of local charities including St Rocco’s Hospice in Warrington, as well as Age UK, The Joshua Tree Deafness Support Network and Hampers of Hope.
The fundraising also coincided with World Kindness Day earlier this month, providing the ideal opportunity to inspire kind acts and give to the charities most in need of support.
Andrew Johnson, director of Spire Cheshire Hospital, said: “We are always looking for ways to support our local community, and there are hundreds of great charities throughout Cheshire in urgent need of funding during this difficult time.
“Cheshire Community Foundation’s Covid-19 appeal helps the most vulnerable people affected by the pandemic, and the team here at Spire Cheshire had a great time raising money and spreading some joy and kindness around the hospital.”
