A NEW restaurant could be set to open in Warrington's Cultural Quarter.
Plans have been agreed to convert an empty building on the corner of Palmyra Square and Springfield Street into a cafe or restaurant.
The unit is close to the former Treasury Building, home to the likes of San Lorenzo and Las Ramblas, and is opposite the Pyramid and Parr Hall.
The application, submitted to Warrington Borough Council, says the new premises could open next year.
The document state: "The site comprises a three-storey late Victorian, double fronted brick townhouse in commercial use as offices.
"The historical use of the building is as barristers’ chambers and from this it derives its name 'Palmyra Square Chambers'.
"It has latterly been occupied by People Asset Management who provided employment advice and services."
