WARRINGTON Hospital has sadly seen a further four patients die in the past 24 hours after contracting coronavirus.
The deaths were confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust this afternoon, Tuesday.
As a result, the trust’s Covid-19 death toll has risen to 234.
At present, Warrington Hospital is caring for 167 inpatients that have tested positive for the virus, which is two fewer that yesterday, Monday.
Of this total, 17 are in the intensive care unit – an increase of two.

Since the start of the pandemic, the trust has tested 36,830 people for coronavirus, with 2,563 producing positive test samples.
The number of patients that have been discharged from hospital upon their recovery from Covid-19 stands at 744.
