THESE are the latest Public Health England figures on the rate of infection of coronavirus in Warrington.
The town currently has the 32nd highest level of new cases of any local authority area in England.
For the seven days leading up to October 17, the most recent period for which data is available, there were 731 positive Covid-19 tests in the area – or 348.1 for every 100,000 residents.
By comparison there were 718 new cases in Warrington during the same period ahead of October 10, 341.9 per 100,000 of the population.
As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 115 patients at Warrington Hospital who had tested positive for coronavirus.
Fifteen of these were in intensive care.
The Covid-19 death toll at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust now stands at 166.
Meanwhile, 533 coronavirus patients have been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment since the start of the pandemic.
