AN award-winning PR professional and former Warrington journalist is aiming to put the 'WWoW' factor into the media industry after setting up his own agency.

WWoW PR, which stands for Widocks' Words of Wisdom, offers high levels of media expertise - from press release generation and crafted copywriting to photography, video, social media, crisis management and media training skills.

Founder Chris Widocks, from Chapelford, says the new venture is based on fast, high profile results, creative flair and a 'pursuit of professional perfection'.

He said: "It's been more than 30 years in the making and I'm proud to announce my own PR company.

"My skills were first honed in the national and regional press as well as TV and radio before I moved into PR and commercial writing 20 years ago."

The 50-year-old has spent the last 14 years in-house at the country's biggest independent telecoms supply specialist Nimans/Nycomm, after six years running the writing division of a Manchester design and marketing agency.

Chris, a former UK PR Manager of the Year, added: "A lot has changed since I began my career on a typewriter in Warrington, often filing breaking news via the old red telephone boxes - long before the internet and mobile phones.

"Technology and the way people consume news continues to evolve and my in-depth understanding of the media can maximise impact, deliver unrivalled levels of service and help clients secure a competitive advantage across a wide range of digital and print channels.

"I pride myself on the highest standards of professionalism - combining journalistic integrity and pedigree with astute commercial acumen.

"I'm bringing a personal touch and the WWoW factor into public relations.

"Bespoke relationships, based on true words of wisdom."
