WARRINGTON is expected to be hotter than Ibiza and the Algarve this week.
The Met Office is predicting that a heatwave will hit the UK and leave the country basking in the sun over the coming days.
Here in Warrington, temperatures of up to 25C are being forecast for this afternoon, Tuesday.
But it is tomorrow and Thursday when things will really heat up.
Thermometers are set to reach as high as 29C, combining with cloudless skies to make both days scorchers.
By comparison, temperatures of 27C and 28C are predicted in Ibiza on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Meanwhile on the Algarve, it will be a measly 23C and 25C.
The Met Office’s chief meteorologist Dan Suri said: “Temperatures will continue to climb through the week, with a hot spell developing across much of England and Wales.
“From Wednesday, temperatures will widely reach into the high 20Cs and it’ll be hot across much of the UK – especially central and southern England, where we could see highs of 30 to 34C.
“This hot weather is expected to last until at least Friday, and so heatwave conditions are likely to develop for some areas this week.”
