PROTESTERS marched through Warrington town centre during a peaceful Black Lives Matter (BLM) demonstration this afternoon, Saturday.

The BLM protest, the second in Warrington this month, started at the Town Hall at 2pm.

Meanwhile, the Protect Warrington Cenotaph Group gathered by the war memorial on Bridge Foot.

Around 200 people attended the BLM Warrington demonstration before making their way through the town centre.

The group says the town must use its voice to deliver change as it aims to create a ‘safe space’ for a positive discussion about race.
