A BODY has been found in woodland in Sankey Valley Park.
Police were called to the woods near to Bewsey Farm Close in Old Hall shortly after 6am yesterday, Wednesday, after receiving reports of concerns for the welfare of a man.
Officers attended the scene and found the dead body of a 34-year-old man from Warrington.
Cheshire Police says his death is not being treated is suspicious.
A force spokesman said: “At 6.11am on Wednesday, May 20, officers were called to reports concerns for the welfare of a man in woodland off Bewsey Farm Close.
“Officers attended and a 34-year local man was found dead.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.”
