MORE than 150 coronavirus patients have been discharged from Warrington and Halton hospitals after recovering from the illness.
New figures released by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust showed that 1,677 people have so far been tested for Covid-19 at its sites or in the community.
Of this number, 602 have tested positive for the virus.
While 64 patients have died in the two hospitals, a total of 161 have recovered sufficiently in order to be sent back home.
Fewer than 100 people with coronavirus are currently being cared for by the trust.
