SIR Thomas Boteler Church of England High School has been awarded for its work against bullying.
Students have been committed to stamping out this behaviour and their efforts have now been rewarded with the Wise Up Gold Award.
This is awarded to schools in Warrington which work to stop bullying and hate crime, and to make sure it gets reported.
Year seven student, Mia Hennessey, accepted the award on behalf of her teachers and peers.
Assistant head teacher at Sir Thomas Boteler, John Leonard, said: "Students are frequently reminded of how important it is to be aware of other people’s feelings and how using certain words of behaviours may cause offence, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
"All students are taught that that everybody is equal.
"The work that all staff do on a daily basis creates an environment where we do not tolerate any form of bullying.
"If and when incidents do occur, it is clear that they are dealt with quickly and effectively."
