A CINNAMON Brow pub has revealed its new look after a £750,000 transformation.

The Millhouse, owned by Joseph Holt Brewery, has been relaunched as a pub restaurant after previously offering just drinks.

As well as new kitchen facilities, there has been an extensive refurbishment and the move has created 40 full and part-time jobs.

Warrington Guardian:

Angela Dawn, from The Millhouse, said: “We’re always look at ways to add value to the community.

“And given its location we thought the pub would be particularly appreciated as a new warm and welcoming place to eat.

New features include the restaurant, wrap around veranda and beer garden.

Warrington Guardian:

Angela added: “The reaction so far has been fantastic – our customers really seem to love the menu and the atmosphere.

“The key idea was to bring the outside in and vice versa.

“We have an extensive beer garden and pergola while indoors there’s a new conservatory with a fresh, modern feel.”

Warrington Guardian:

The new menu at the Ballater Drive pub includes pub classics and comfort food such as cheese and onion pie, beer battered cod and chips and steak and ale pie and nods to world dishes including Peak District lamb tagine and Malaysian spiced fish pie.

There are also lighter meals such as wraps, sandwiches, pastas and salads.

Angela said: “Our food houses are always popular, not least because of a mixture of new or seasonal dishes and signature favourites.

Warrington Guardian:

“Pubs are increasingly popular places to eat since many people want a cosy, home-cooked feel to eating out. It’s like eating in but eating out.”

The Millhouse was originally built by Joseph Holt Brewery in 1986 and named after a farm.

The company is known for its Manchester-brewed beers such as Joseph Holt Bitter, Two Hoots, Humdinger and its ‘Bootleg’ craft style ales.
