NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group is inviting residents to a free health event to learn about immediate care.

The theme of the next Get Engaged event is ‘staying well, safe and independent for as long as possible’.

It will take place on Monday, December 16 at 12.30pm until 3pm at The Gateway on Sankey Street.

Everyone who attends will be given the chance to learn more about intermediate care, care which is considered in between services such as hospital and home, and frailty services.

They will also be given the opportunity to share their views and experiences to help inform how these services are provided in the future.

One of the highlights of the event will be a marketplace featuring interactive exhibits, a taster Livewire Stay on Your Feet exercise session and a chance to get useful health advice and information from Warrington Borough Council and Warrington Disability Partnership.

Katie Horan, engagement manager for NHS Warrington CCG said: “We are committed to ensuring that people in Warrington are not only informed about health services, but they also get a chance to help shape them too.

!One of the many ways we do this is through our regular, informative and friendly Get Engaged events.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to attend our next event. As well as offering an opportunity to discuss current health services, anyone attending can also get useful advice and information from a variety of different agencies about staying well and independent over the winter period.“
