NO trains will be running on the West Coast Mainline from Warrington Bank Quay station on New Year’s Day.
Engineering works means rail replacement services will be in place for journeys southbound between Warrington and Crewe and northbound between Warrington and Wigan North Western.
Alternatively for southbound journeys, trains services will be running from nearby Runcorn.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “If you plan on travelling on these dates, we strongly recommend you plan your journey in advance, make a reservation and check before you travel.”
There will also be no services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Services will finish earlier on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. And services on December 27 and January 1 will start later.
