CHANGES to the Time Square car park will be introduced from next week as the first restaurant officially opens.

The Botanist opens next Monday, December 2, and the car park changes come in on the same day.

Cineworld then opens the following week.

The main car parking will be in the Time Square car park, opened two years ago. It will open 24 hours a day.

The good news is, there will be eight hours of free parking for Cineworld users who validate their tickets.

While the car park will also be free all day on Sundays.

The Monday to Friday rate will be:

Under one hour: £1 One to two hours: £1.50

Two to four hours: £2

Over four hours £5.50

Saturday

Under three hours: £1

Over three hours: £3

Evenings

After 6pm, there will be a flat rate charge of £2.

Warrington Borough Council will offer contract parking at a promotional rate of £500 per year to encourage greater use of the car park during Monday to Friday office hours.

There will also be a small car park at the back of the cinema, where the former Time Square car park was.

It will be set with a maximum stay of three hours.
