AN advertising campaign by Warrington Borough Transport has won the industry's seal of approval.
The company picked up a gold award at the prestigious Fresh Awards for advertising and marketing in the UK.
The campaign was seen on buses across the town and played on the signs that are found on board the company's fleet to highlight its recent successes.
The campaign was the only gold award presented in the best regional press campaign category.
Les Hoyle, chairman of Warrington Borough Transport, said: "Picking up this award puts the icing on the cake of a great year for Network Warrington. The campaign was commissioned to celebrate our recent achievements and success in terms of passenger numbers and service improvements, so it seems fitting that the campaign has been such a success in its own right, too."
The Fresh Awards are for communications companies based outside London and are judged by leading marketing figures.
Andrew Brown-Allan, managing director of campaign creators And Partners, said: "We are proud of these ads and it is great to be given the opportunity to work with a passionate, fresh-thinking client like Warrington Borough Transport."
