A PENSIONER has been spared jail after admitting harassing his neighbours.
Ivor McLene, from Thelwall, walked onto his neighbours’ property and stared at the occupants on a number of occasions between March and May this year.
The 74-year-old, of Woodlands Drive, also threatened to block their drains.
He admitted two counts of harassment at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday, November 8, and was handed an eight-week imprisonment suspended for a year.
McLene was also handed a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to 20 days and given a restraining order preventing him from contacting or staring at his neighbours or their children.
Magistrates told him to pay compensation of £300 and court costs of £200.
