POLICE have come up with an unusual way to discourage people from using Hawleys Lane bridge.
The passage has flooded again with the heavy rain today, Thursday.
So Warrington Police have tweeted people with a safety message, warning drivers to avoid the area.
They said on Twitter: "Unless you are the proud owner of the 'Spy Who Loved Me' Lotus Esprit, please don't be trying to tackle the infamous Hawleys Lane low bridge under the West Coast Mainline.
"If you are at all unsure about standing water on the road in front of you, please don't risk it."
It is the latest flooding at the notorious spot.
