IT is November 5 and if you don't have plans for tonight, there are still organised displays being held where you can celebrate.

The Halliwell Jones Stadium hosts its first fireworks display tonight, Tuesday.

There will be a wide range of live music and entertainment before the evening culminates in what organisers say will be the north west’s biggest and most spectacular fireworks display.

Acoustic act Nathan Greenfield will be performing in the Jack Fish corner of the South Stand andDJ Glover will be spinning the discs over the stadium’s PA.

Outside the ground, Chadwick Funfair Company will be based in the Brian Bevan corner. The funfair includes an assortment of rides as well as refreshments.

Refreshments are also available inside the ground with a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, food and  toffee and chocolate apples.

Stilt-walkers and fire-breathers will be in attendance with the Ultimate Party People offering face painting for juniors.

Animal lovers inside the ground can also get up-close to and have their pictures taken with an owl situated in the East Stand concourse.

A shop will be open in the concourse also with luminous and glowing products available to purchase.

Wolfie will be in attendance and bringing along some friends – Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam and Olaf the snowman.

There will also be a Grand Fireworks Raffle with a jackpot prize of £200. Entry is £1 with all proceeds going to Youth Development.

The main fireworks display will begin at 7.30pm. 

Doors open at 5.30pm. Entry for the event is £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.

There is also an organised display in Glazebury

Glazebury Bonfire and fireworks take place at Glazebury Methodist Church.

The fire will be lit at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7pm

Admission is £6 for adults, accompanied children £4.

Hot and cold drinks, barbecue, food, jacket potatoes, treacle toffee will be available.

All money for church funds.
