ST Rocco’s Hospice has opened a new charity furniture shop near to the town centre.

The hospice has moved its fundraising store from Bridge Foot to Mersey Street, occupying the unit formerly occupied by Multiyork – which was also a furniture retailer before it closed in 2017.

Items including sofas, chairs, dining tables, coffee tables, beds, wardrobes, sideboards, shelving, furnishing, mirrors and artwork are on offer over two floors in the expanded, open plan site.

Warrington Guardian:

All goods are second-hand, having been donated by members of the public – with all funds going towards the Bewsey hospice.

Warrington Wolves co-captain Chris Hill and former Wire centre Ryan Atkins were on-hand to open the store today, Thursday.

Free parking is available onsite, with the store opening between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

Warrington Guardian:

It is the latest retail site for St Rocco's, including a media and bookstore in Lymm and a gift shop at the hospice on Lockton Lane.

Other traditional charity shops are available in the town centre, Orford, Latchford, Stockton Heath, Birchwood, Lymm, Whitecross and Hood Manor.

But the previous site on Knutsford Road will remain open as a clearance shop before the charity moves out of the premises later this year.

St Rocco’s Hospice offers a collection service to any residents wishing to donate unwanted items of furniture to the charity.
