SMOKERS are being urged to kick the habit this October with extra help and support from LiveWire’s Smokefree Warrington team.

Smoking remains the largest cause of preventable death in England, and LiveWire’s stop smoking service provides free specialist stop smoking support and advice to people in the Warrington area as well as supporting workplaces with to make their organisation SmokeFree.

Earlier this year the service was named by the NHS as the second best in England at helping residents to quit smoking in four weeks.

LiveWire's support and advice includes text messages, telephone and Facebook consultations, support for those in hospital as well as workplace events and sessions.

During October a number of public drop-in events have been organised across Warrington, where LiveWire staff will be on hand.

Ruth Armstrong, lifestyle officer, Lead Smoke-Free, said: "SmokeFree Warrington is trying to make it as easy as possible to access support this Stoptober.
