A VICAR has had her head shaved for charity.
Reverend Karen Timmis, of St Barnabas’ Church in Whitecross, braved the shave in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support with help from St Barbabas’ CE Primary School pupils.
Rev Timmis said: “I decided to do this because many people in our area are affected by cancer – not only themselves, but their families too.
“I wanted to do something to say that we are walking alongside those people who are suffering.
“I also wanted to show the children that it is not what you look like, but who you are and what you do that it is important – especially in this age, where self image is so important.”
