WARRINGTON Wolves have won the Women's Championship League Leaders' Shield.
The Wire Women have had two consecutive games against Hull FC cancelled – one home and one away – due to injuries for the Black and Whites.
With time running out in the season, it has been resolved to award the points to Warrington, meaning they cannot be caught at the top of the table.
Lee Westwood's side have one regular season game remaining – away to Huddersfield Giants next Sunday – before the play-offs begin.
Their semi-final is likely to take place on Sunday, October 6, against the fourth-placed side, currently Huddersfield.
The winners of both semi-finals will face each other on Super League Grand Final day – October 12 – at the Manchester Regional Arena for a place in the Women's Super League.
