ARMED police stormed a block of flats in Chapelford after receiving reports a man was threatening residents with a gun.
Firearms officers descended on Orleans Court, off Louisiana Drive, at around 9.30pm on Saturday, September 7.
The police helicopter and a dogs unit also attended the scene, but no weapons were found after a search of the premises.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “On Friday, September 7, police attended a block of flats on Louisiana Drive following reports of threats with a firearm – a cordon was put in place as a precaution and the helicopter attended to assist officers at the scene.
“Firearms officers attended to ensure the safety of residents and officers.

“Officers and a police dog made a search of the premises, but no firearm was located – all was in order.
