DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Mark Bradbury are searching addresses across Warrington.

Police confirmed yesterday at a 39-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of the death of Mr Bradbury at his home on Station Road last month.

Detectives are understood to be carrying out investigations across the town including at Saffron Close in Longbarn where they have been since yesterday, Thursday, morning.

Forensic staff have been spotted on the street.

Detective inspector Sarah Oliver, of Cheshire Police’s major investigation team, said: “I hope this arrest reassures the public that we will not rest until we have found those responsible for Mark’s murder.

“While this man remains in custody to be questioned I am still appealing to the community to get in touch if they knew Mark or were in the area of Station Road through the weekend after 1 August.

“I know people may sometimes worry about speaking to the police, but there are other ways of helping us, such as through the Crimestoppers charity with which you can give information anonymously.”

Patrols will be in the area over the next few days following today’s arrest, and the community is encouraged to speak to officers if they have any concerns.
