IT is the news youngsters across Warrington have been waiting for - Smyths Toys will finally open its doors in the town in September.
Taking the 14,500 sq ft unit which was previously home to Halfords, the toy retailer has signed a 10-year lease with JunctionNINE Retail Park.
The arrival of Smyths Toys at the Winwick Road venue, brings the park tenant line-up to 19, which includes Nando’s, Dunelm, Dreams, Hobbycraft, Mothercare, TUI, Home Bargains, Currys/PC World, KFC and Starbucks.
It will save families making the journey to St Helens for a toy shop after the closure of Toys R Us left Warrington with few options.
