NORTHERN Rail have been handing out free flapjacks this week.
This is to thank customers for their patience during improvement work at Acton Grange junction.
Rail links around Warrington have recently re-opened after being closed for more than two weeks to upgrade tracks, cabling, overhead lines and signalling.
And staff working for the train provider were spotted handing out the sweet treats as a token of thanks for customers who were inconvenienced during the improvements.
Chris Jackson, regional director at Northern said: “The flapjacks, as well as other small gifts, were a fun way of saying a big thank you to our customers for their patience during the recent engineering work at Acton Grange.
“Network Rail have completed the vital upgrade work and we’re delighted to once again be able to run our new services running between Chester and Leeds.”
