THE Great Sankey Summer Fun Day has been cancelled.
This year’s Great Sankey Parish Council fun day had been due to take place at the Tim Parry Recreation Ground on Wroxham Road from 12pm tomorrow, Saturday.
But event organisers have pulled the plug on the fair following heavy rainfall in the area over the past week, leaving the site ‘saturated’.
The fun day would have boasted free rides, inflatables, waltzers, zorb balls a Nerf era, bungee trampolines, donkey, a climbing wall, circus skills and live music.

A Great Sankey Parish Council spokesman said: “Great Sankey Summer Fun Day has been cancelled.
“Due to the very heavy rainfall this week, the ground at the Tim Parry Recreation Ground is now saturated and the parish council have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel the event.
“We’re really sorry to disappoint, and we hope to see you at next year’s event.”
