WARRINGTON has the cheapest Wetherspoons pubs in the country according to new data.
Research has looked at thousand of items on the menu of the popular pub chain to find out which are the priciest and cheapest watering holes.
And the survey found that the two Wetherspoons in Warrington town centre – the Friar Penketh on Barbauld Street and the Looking Glass on Buttermarket Street – are the best value in the UK.

Lagers in the pair of pubs will set you back an average of £2.29 per pint – with both Fosters and Carling costing less than £2.
Nationally, the average pints of Carling and Fosters cost £2.87 and £2.86 respectively.
Other cheap areas for Wetherspoons included Halton, South Lakeland, Kettering and West Dunbartonshire.
Meanwhile, the chain’s costliest pubs were found in Crawley, the City of London, Westminster, Camden and Solihull.
