A MAN wanting to change the perceptions of photographers has set up a dedicated group for beginners and experts alike.

Danny Smith, from Orford, started the Warrington Photo Walk in November which invites photographers of all levels to come together and use the Warrington landscape to create beautiful images.

The 25-year-old is now looking for new members to join and wants to make everyone feel comfortable in their own abilities.

He said: “It does have a stigma because people think it has to be a certain type of person with a certain type of camera, but it is not – we are all very nice people!

“There is no pressure, it is just a nice excuse to be part of a group.”

Danny first set up the society through the online platform, Meetup, and now has almost 200 members who are able to see upcoming events for Warrington Photo Walk.

He said: “I wanted to pursue my hobby more and get out and meet other people.

“The numbers have been slowly increasing.

“There are 10 or 11 regulars who come out, but we are getting new faces each time.

“We’ve found different routes around the town centre.

“It’s a case of finding new spaces, surprisingly only 10 minutes from the town centre you can get to the middle of nowhere.

“Anyone is welcome with any level of photography."

The group head out every few weeks and have recently visited Walton Hall and Gardens for inspiration.
