THE Westbrook Big Party will return to Gulliver’s World when festivities begin this June.

Now in its fourth year, the event will be held at the theme park on Friday, June 14 and will involve a wide range of local groups and clubs.

The party has been organised by Westbrook & Callands Communities specifically for people of WA5 residence, with proof needed to gain entry.

It will run from 5.30pm until 9pm and will be officially opened by the Mayor of Warrington.

Alan Guthrie, chairman of the group, said: “Last year proved to be a very popular event, with more than 2200 visitors attending.

“Generous donations on the gate have enabled the continued development of the Westbrook Community Orchard and also allowed a new Friends of Westbrook Library group to be set up.

“This is a Big Party for local people to enjoy and to find out more about what is available in their community.”

Last year’s staging saw attendees enjoy live music, dancing, magic, food and a licensed bar, and more of the same is planned in June.

Visitors will also be able to see the inside of a fire engine and learn about Burtonwood’s fifty years of aviation history.

Organisers have asked for a £1 donation per adult to enter, and all proceeds will fund community projects in the area.
