A NUMBER of arrests were made in Warrington overnight including a man accused of a head-butting incident in the town centre.

Here is a round-up of incidents where officers took suspects into custody:

Friday

6pm- man arrested on Museum Street after allegedly failing to appear in court last September.

7.30pm- man arrested in the Woolston area after being accused of breaching a restraining order against his ex-partner.

8.40pm- man arrested at Birchwood Shopping Centre on suspicion of stealing a motorbike, having a doctored number plate, disqualified driving and possession of cocaine.

At around 8.45pm- man arrested in the Culcheth area for allegedly harassing a woman and being accused of waiting outside her workplace.

Saturday

1:40am- van driver stopped on Grappenhall Road on suspicion of drink driving. He was also accused of having no insurance and no driving licence.

1.40am- man arrested in the town centre after being accused of head-butting another man. He was allegedly found in possession of drugs as well.

2.25am- woman arrested in the town centre for on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour.

4.40am- man arrested on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour in the town centre

At around 4.40am- driver arrested on Poplars Avenue in Orford after being accused of drink driving

At around 5.15am- man arrested after being accused of drunk and disorderly behaviour in the town centre with police reporting that the suspect was taken into custody after a foot chase.
