WARRINGTON Market traders in partnership with Bold Street Methodist Church have helped to make Easter an egg-stra bit special for many families after collecting nearly 400 chocolate Easter Eggs for Warrington Food Bank.
The annual appeal has seen eggs collected from traders, market staff and the general public as well as generous donations from both Tesco and Paul Turner – site manager from ‘Vinci’, the company responsible for the delivering the neighbouring Time Square Development.
Gary Jaques, Market Traders liaison officer, said: “We are overwhelmed, but not surprised by the generosity of the people in this town.
"The market remains at the heart of the whole community and it brings people and businesses together.
"We are just pleased we’ve been able to provide hundreds of children with an egg who may not otherwise receive one.”
Warrington Market traders are also giving 50 lucky customers the chance to win a free Easter egg on Good Friday by simply visiting one of the stalls in the market.
There will also be family Easter craft activities taking place over the weekend.
