TRIBUTES have been paid to former pub landlord Bill Wrench.

The popular ex licensee appeared in the obituaries column of this week's Warrington Guardian after he passed away aged 73.

Mr Wrench was well known in the town as he was an ex-publican having been a former licensee of The Bluebell, Farmers Arms in Fearnhead and The Bulls Head.

After retirement from the pub trade he became the owner of a mini-bus company.

Mr Wrench was a devoted family man who delighted in the company of his grandchildren.

He also enjoyed a game of golf.

The Fearnhead man leaves his wife Lynda, one daughter, one son, two sisters, one brother and four grandchildren after passing away due to heart failure on March 10.
