WE asked you to tell us about the town's top traders.

And lots of you got in touch to share your stories of brilliant customer service from bathroom companies, builders and plasterers for our latest award category.

Based on the volume of nominations and the nominations that had a really personal touch, we have put together the following shortlist for readers to vote on.

The winner will be announced in a special supplement in the Warrington Guardian newspaper later this spring and decided based on 50% readers' votes and 50% judges' final decision.

SHORTLIST FOR WARRINGTON’S TOP TRADER

1. BM Bathrooms on Old Liverpool Road

Since opening their own showroom, this business run by Brian and Nichola Marshall has been helping to raise money for a number of good causes.  

They run their business alongside raising their five children.

One nomination added: "They have come such a long way and always do a brilliant job."

2. MB Plastering 

With 15 years of experience, this business says they can cover all aspects of plastering.

One nomination added: "We had a full replaster for the hall, stairs and landing with minimal disruption, hardly any dust and a clean area every night.

"Couldn't have been done better and by nicer guys."

3. Ocean Bathrooms

This company specialises in designing and installing the 'bathroom of your dreams'. 

One nomination added: "They have gained a fantastic reputation throughout Warrington and their work is immaculate.

"They are really nice guys with a good work ethic, never let you down and offer friendly, professional service always with a smile."

4. JAK Appliance Repairs

Domestic appliance engineer Mike Croughton was praised by a number of his customers for his work ethic and kind attitude even helping someone fix their washing machine over the phone while he was sat on a beach on holiday.

One nomination added: "He will come and fix anything he can - washing machine, tumble drier, anything electrical - and if he can't fix it he will have something that he can replace it with so you don't have to go without."
