IT is April 1 but these free family events in Warrington are no joke.

MEET PETER RABBIT > April 6
Meet Peter Rabbit in Golden Square's Easter Garden on Saturday, April 6 from 11am to 4pm at selected intervals.
Free tickets to meet Peter Rabbit have now sold out. However there will be a select number of additional places on the day, allocated on a first come first served basis, following the admittance of ticket holders.
And don’t forget your children can still take part in a Design an Easter Egg craft workshop.

CHESHIRE FOOD FESTIVAL, WALTON HALL AND GARDENS > APRIL 13 and 14
THE popular Cheshire Food Festival is returning to Walton Hall and Gardens.
Over the weekend of Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, 14, the estate will be transformed into a foodie paradise with more than 50 artisan producers.
You can also enjoy gourmet street food and pick a favourite tipple from numerous outdoor bars and entry is free.
And if that is not enough, Warrington Market's artisan market returns to Walton on Sunday, April 21

MAKE AN EASTER BUNNY PUPPET, WARRINGTON LIBRARY > April 17 and 20
Head to Warrington library for some free Easter craft activities.
Sessions run on Wednesday April 17 from 2pm to 4pm and Saturday, April from 20 10am to 12pm.

LYMM DUCK RACE > APRIL 22
One of the highlights of the calendar in Lymm takes place on Easter Monday.
Stalls will be open throughout the village from 10.30am and the race starts at 12.30pm.
Entry is free but there is a charge if you want a duck
THE WIRE MARKET, TOWN CENTRE > APRIL 27
The launch event of a new pop-up open air attraction, The Wire Market will see around 50 stalls dotted around Warrington market forecourt, Buttermarket Street, Market Gate and Bridge Street between 9am and 4pm.
There will be artisan produce from the north west, live music, street food as well as the 'Bridge Street bazaar' where you can find collectibles and curiosities.
It will be a regular event on the last Saturday of each month.
PLANT FAIR, GRAPPENHALL HEYS WALLED GARDEN > April 28

Why not pop down to Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden between 11am and 4pm for an opportunity to speak to experts, browse and purchase something different for your garden – from rare and unusual plants to decorative garden features.
