A KINDHEARTED seven-year-old is donating her hair to charity while raising money for Warrington Animal Welfare.
Esmae Gill, from Kingswood, will be braving the chop on February 22 to send her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity which makes wigs for children who have lost their own through illness.
The animal-lover, who owns two cats and a dog, will be donating her sponsorship money to Warrington Animal Welfare in Slutchers Lane.
Esmae's mum, Kimberley, said: "I am a volunteer for Warrington Animal Welfare.
"I started about two-and-a-half years ago and when we do fundraising events Esmae will come along if she can.
"I don't know where she heard about The Little Princess Trust when she found out it was to make wigs for children, she said she wanted to do it.
"She wanted to grow her hair as long as possible to make a good wig – she said 'my hair will always grow back'."
So far, Esmae has raised £266, exceeding her target of £250.
