The M62 delays on Wednesday morning
THERE are very long delays on the M62 this morning, Wednesday, after a crash near Birchwood.
One lane is closed after the accident which happened eastbound just before 7am between Birchwood and junction 12 for Eccles.
Six vehicles were involved according to the police.
Congestion is back to junction nine for Winwick in the roadworks area.
Travel time is more than an hour and 20 minutes and lane three is currently closed.

The whole road was closed for a short time around 7.30am to remove the vehicles.
The A57 is also extremely busy as a result of the delays on the M62.
