A BROKEN down train is causing disruption on rail services to Liverpool.
Services to and from the city have been cancelled and delayed due to a train breaking down in the Widnes area at around 11.30am today, Friday.
While the broken-down train has now been moved, delays up of to an hour are expected until around 1pm.
Stations including Warrington Central and Widnes are affected.
Passengers on East Midlands Trains services are being allowed to use their tickets on Northern Rail, CrossCountry and TransPennine Express trains.
