ANOTHER Golden Square Shopping Centre unit looks set to be turned into a food outlet.
The vacant shop fronting onto the Old Market Place, formerly occupied by the Works, would become an eatery in an application for planning permission submitted to Warrington Borough Council.
Alaska UK Trustee Limited, who submitted the application on behalf of the shopping centre, said that the proposals would enable them to 'attract a range of tenants'.
It added that there is current interest from a potential new occupier of the 354sq m unit.
This interest looks to be from Pasta Shack, which will serve 'freshly prepared food and personalised meals for a health conscious community, accompanied by a ready-to-go style offering'.

The Works has since moved to a new home elsewhere in Golden Square Shopping Centre.
A number of units surrounding the Old Market Place have been turned into restaurants and drinking establishments in the past year.
Nando’s, Rhode Island, the Barley Mow and Ask have recently been joined by Patisserie Valerie, Flanagan’s Irish bar and the Dorado Lounge – while the unit previously occupied by Prezzo now stands empty.
A consultation on the plans runs until Friday, January 18.
